This article explores the peculiarities of polysemous verbs in English and Uzbek
languages, focusing on their semantic features, problems encountered in translation, and
methods of translating them. Section 1 examines the semantic features of polysemous verbs in
both languages and highlights the similarities and differences between them. Section 2
discusses the main problems encountered in translating polysemous verbs and provides
examples to illustrate these challenges.
