Vocabulary acquisition presents significant challenges for non-native English learners due to the vast number of words, multiple meanings, and complex usage contexts. This paper explores common vocabulary learning difficulties, including polysemy, collocations, and idiomatic expressions. The study highlights the impact of these challenges on comprehension and language proficiency, particularly for learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Strategies for overcoming vocabulary acquisition difficulties are discussed, emphasizing the role of context and active learning. The research underscores the importance of targeted vocabulary instruction and practice in enhancing English fluency.
