This article examines the social criticism embedded in Pu Songling's dramatic works during the Qing Dynasty, analyzing how the renowned author utilized theatrical forms to critique contemporary societal issues. The research demonstrates that Pu Songling's dramaturgy served not merely as entertainment but as a powerful medium for social commentary, challenging the rigid hierarchical structures and exposing the hypocrisy of officialdom during the Qing period.
