It examines the cognitive processes involved in listening, the pedagogical value of authentic audio input, and the advantages podcasts offer over traditional listening materials. The paper reviews relevant theories such as input hypothesis, multimodal learning, and schema activation, while also presenting practical strategies for integrating podcasts into classroom activities and independent study. Furthermore, it discusses the role of learner autonomy, motivation, and digital literacy in improving listening proficiency. Based on current research findings and classroom applications, the article concludes that podcasts provide flexible, engaging, and pedagogically rich opportunities for learners to develop comprehension skills in real-life contexts.
