COMPARISON OF ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS IN GREAT BRITAIN AND UZBEK SCHOOLS
Main Article Content
Аннотация:
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the assessment systems in schools of Great Britain and Uzbekistan. The UK system is largely based on standardized external examinations, including GCSEs and A-levels, which ensure fairness, transparency, and comparability across institutions. In contrast, Uzbekistan traditionally relies on teacher-led assessments using a 5-point grading scale. Recent reforms in Uzbekistan aim to implement criterion-based, competency-oriented assessment systems that emphasize continuous evaluation and broader skill development. The article examines the structure, grading practices, advantages, and challenges of both systems and offers insights into the implications of these differences for educational quality and student outcomes.
