Translation is not a neutral or purely technical activity; rather, it is a culturally embedded practice shaped by historical, ideological, and ethical considerations. These complexities are particularly pronounced in the translation of sacred and religious texts, where language operates as a vessel of divine authority, communal identity, and spiritual meaning. Religious translation therefore occupies a unique position within translation studies, demanding exceptional sensitivity to both linguistic form and cultural substance.
