Abstract:
Motivation plays a crucial role in the process of learning foreign languages. It determines how much effort a learner puts into mastering a new language and how long they stay committed to their goals. In today’s globalized world, where multilingual communication is essential, understanding what drives learners is more important than ever. This article explores the main types of motivation, including intrinsic and extrinsic factors, and discusses their influence on students’ performance. It also highlights the role of teachers, classroom environment, and technology in sustaining learners’ motivation and helping them achieve success in foreign language acquisition.
