This article examines the phenomena of euphemism and dysphemism in the context of language and culture. Euphemism serves as a way to soften socially sensitive or forbidden topics, whereas dysphemism highlights their offensive or derogatory aspects. The study analyzes various linguistic strategies, contextual factors, and changes in societal taboos with illustrative examples.
