THE CRITICAL IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION IN MODERN UNIVERSITY SETTINGS IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Main Article Content

Аннотация:

The rapid digitalization of higher education has made technology adoption a strategic priority for universities across Europe. This article examines why technology integration has become essential in modern European university settings and how institutional contexts influence the pace and quality of adoption. Drawing on empirical studies that investigate blended learning readiness, technology acceptance, and digital transformation strategies, the paper synthesizes the academic evidence to provide a human-centered and realistic understanding of the digital shift. The analysis shows that European universities that integrate digital tools strategically experience improvements in instructional flexibility, access, and organizational efficiency. However, the adoption process remains uneven due to differences in faculty readiness, institutional culture, and infrastructural capacity. The article concludes that technology adoption is no longer optional for European institutions seeking long-term competitiveness, yet requires thoughtful, supported implementation to be effective.
