VIRTUAL REALITY IN THE TRAINING OF DOCTORS AND MEDICAL STUDENTS

Abstract:

This article examines the role of virtual reality (VR) technologies in medical education. It emphasizes that VR is one of the most promising innovations that can significantly improve the quality of training for future medical professionals. The use of virtual reality creates a safe and controlled learning environment in which students and physicians can practice complex clinical procedures without posing any risk to patients. The paper analyzes the main advantages of VR — safety, repeatability, visualization, development of clinical thinking, and personalization of learning. It also highlights the major challenges of implementing this technology: high equipment costs, lack of quality educational content, and the need for teacher training. The conclusion underlines the significant potential of VR in the future of medical education, especially when integrated with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
