MODERN ENGLISH LOANWORDS IN UZBEK YOUTH SLANG, A SOCIOLINGUISTIC APPROACH

Main Article Content

Аннотация:

In the contemporary world, globalization processes have given rise to new forms of linguistic and cultural interaction. The widespread use of English loanwords among Uzbek youth is a significant manifestation of these processes. The development of information technologies, the popularization of social media, the influence of international media, and the impact of global pop culture have created a fertile ground for the active incorporation of English terms into the language of young people. These loanwords serve not only as a means of lexical enrichment but also as a tool for shaping the unique social identity of youth, facilitating integration with global culture, and creating a distinctive communicative style within their peer groups.
