Аннотация:

This paper presents a comparative analysis of traditional and modern teaching methodologies in English language education, focusing on their pedagogical principles, learner outcomes, and practical implications in secondary and higher educational contexts. The study explores the distinctions between grammar-translation, audio-lingual, communicative, task-based, and blended learning approaches. Drawing from contemporary linguistic and pedagogical theories, the research identifies that learner-centered and technology-supported methodologies significantly enhance students’ communicative competence and motivation. The article concludes with a synthesis of findings that support hybrid approaches integrating both classical and innovative elements.
