Аннотация:
J.Steward asarlari o'ziga xos yo'nalish va uslubga ega bo'lib, adabiyot olamida alohida o'ringa ega. U Amerika adabiyotida o'z o'rnini mustahkamlagan, ijodkor sifatida nafaqat voqealar rivoji, balki inson va makon orasidagi munosabatni teran yoritish orqali ham mashhurdir. Uning romanlarida joyning o'ziga xosligi va uni qahramonlarning ichki dunyosi bilan uyg'unlashtirgan holda tasvirlash usuli o'quvchilarning chuqur e'tiborini tortadi. Stewardning hikoyalarida makonga bo'lgan munosabat nafaqat voqealar fonida qolib ketadi, balki insoniyat va tabiat o'rtasidagi murakkab aloqalarni ochib beradigan muhim ramz sifatida namoyon bo'ladi. Ushbu maqolada biz muallifning shunday yondashuvini tahlilga tortamiz.
