The article, based on literary sources, examines the reasons for the seizure and circulation of substandard, falsified and counterfeit medicines. The author has identified a complex of reasons that are socio-economic, political, legal, and organizational in nature.

При анализе результатов лечения преследовалась цель выявить наиболее эффективные методы лечения в зависимости от тяжести повреждения. Консервативное лечение у детей, являясь наиболее предпочтительным, позволил получить хорошие и удовлетворительные результаты в подавляющем большинстве случаев (96 %). Полученные результаты лечения у больных  с сочетанной черепно-мозговой травмой и повреждений  конечностей свидетельствуют о рационально разработанной  лечебной тактике. Комплексное лечение данной категории больных с использованием иммуномодуляторов, ГБО-терапии, раннего восстановительного лечения, аппаратного   метода лечения,  позволило сократить сроки стационарного лечения больных  почти в 2 раза.

Road users’ safety at railroad grade crossings (RRGCs) is one of the most demanding concerns, because the majority of RRGC accidents are fatal in nature. These accidents are mainly caused by collisions between road users and trains, principally due to road users’ violation. In general, road users commit violations either individually or in groups. Moreover, they have a pattern of committing violations regularly or only on occasion, and a fraction of them may be nonviolators.

Phraseological expressions are only phrases with literal the value of the components. This article presents basic attitudes and theories of phraseological units in the English language, attempts to provide a better understanding of the phraseology, and explores structural and semantic peculiarities of phraseological units in english contexts. The aim of this volume, then, is to explore the cultural dimension of a wide range of preconstructed or semi-preconstructed word combinations in English. These include highly opaque multiword units of the kick-the bucket type, collocations, irreversible binominals, phrasal verbs, compounds, metaphorical expressions, similes, proverbs, familiar quotations, catchphrases, clichés, slogans, expletives, and discourse markers such as politeness formulae – all of which have been subsumed under phraseology, or under idiom in the Anglo-American linguistic tradition. In this article the basic types of phraseological units are analyzed relating to the degree of idiomaticity in the process of learning a foreign language. The authors have tried to define the types of phraseological units by using numerous examples.

Scientists from a variety of fields have long been interested in metaphors. With the recent emergence of cognitive linguistics, a new method for studying metaphors from various perspectives has been developed. Metaphors have therefore been studied from an anthropocentric perspective, which holds that human factors are crucial to the genesis and evolution of all language and cognitive units. The conceptual metaphor theory and cognitive metaphor universals have been examined in the context of the English and Uzbek languages in this article.
