CITIES OF THE TASHKENT OASIS LOCATED ON THE SILK ROAD

Abstract:

This article examines the role of the Tashkent Oasis within the network of the Great Silk Road, focusing on the formation and development of its ancient cities, as well as their economic and cultural significance. Special attention is given to the archaeological analysis of major urban centers such as Kanka, Shahrukhiya, Shoshtepa, and Mingo’rik. The study demonstrates that the Tashkent Oasis served as a central hub for trade, religion, and cultural exchange between East and West along the Silk Road.
