THE USE OF THE ZOONYM "QORA MOL/CATTLE" IN THE LANGUAGE OF ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK FOLK PROVERBS
This article analyzes the linguistic and cultural usage of the cattle zoonym in English and Karakalpak proverbs. The presence of this zoonym in both languages is closely connected to the historical lifestyle, economic activities, and cultural values of the respective peoples. In Karakalpak proverbs, the image of cattle appears in a positive light — as a symbol of abundance, labor, and patience — while in English proverbs, it is often used metaphorically and ironically. The paper explores these differences through the lens of cultural context, revealing the national characteristics and worldview reflected in each language’s proverbial expressions

IMAGE IS AN ELEMENT OF LINGUOCULTUROLOGY
This article explores the notion of “image” as a key analytical category in linguoculturology. It examines the term’s historical development, semantic complexity, and application in various disciplines, including linguistics, literary criticism, semiotics, and cultural studies. The paper pays special attention to the linguistic and cultural image as a mental-linguistic construction that reflects the worldview and cultural values of an ethnos. Through comparative analysis, the article demonstrates how the image of the horse functions differently in English and Uzbek cultural contexts, emphasizing its symbolic, archetypal, and national representations. The study concludes that the image, being multilayered and culturally coded, must be understood not only as a linguistic unit but also as a bearer of collective memory, tradition, and identity.

PERSIAN-TAJIK LEXICAL LAYER FOUND IN THE DIALECT OF UZBEKICIZED ETHNIC ARABS RESIDING IN ISHTIKHAN DISTRICT
The dialect of the population residing in this area consists of pure Turkic words and a layer of loanwords. The borrowed layer includes words adopted from Persian-Tajik, Arabic, Russian, and through Russian, from other languages. If we analyze the words borrowed from the Persian-Tajik language within this lexical layer, they constitute a significant portion. Words borrowed from this language encompass many aspects of life: everyday lifestyle, professions, and various other fields. Various prefixes such as be-, ba-, no-, ser- have also been incorporated from this language into the dialect. These aspects are highlighted in the article, addressing their unique characteristics.

SAYFIDDIN QUTUZ: THE LAST KHWARAZMSHAH’S VICTORY AGAINST THE MONGOLS
The Anushtegin Khwarazmian dynasty holds a significant place in Islamic history. Sayfiddin Qutuz, a nephew of Jalaluddin Manguberdi, is recognized as a pivotal figure not only in the history of the East but also in the broader Islamic world. Despite enduring captivity, slavery, and severe trials during the Mongol invasions, Qutuz rose to power in the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt, achieving a historic victory against the Mongols. This article examines Qutuz’s life, his ascent to the throne of Egypt, his battles against the Mongols, and his monumental contributions to safeguarding the Islamic world. It analyzes the political circumstances in the Mamluk Sultanate and the strategic triumph at the Battle of Ayn Jalut.
