Abstract:

This article examines the age-related characteristics of developing communication skills among primary school students, particularly those in the third and fourth grades. It analyzes the psychological and pedagogical aspects that influence the development of communicative abilities in multicultural classrooms of Uzbekistan. The age range of 8–10 years is highlighted as a crucial stage for personality development and the acquisition of basic communication skills. The importance of both curricular and extracurricular activities as factors in the growth of communicative competence is emphasized. Special attention is given to the teacher’s role in creating conditions for effective interaction among children from different nationalities and cultures. Practical recommendations are provided for developing communication skills through group work, role-playing games, and project-based activities. The possibilities of integrating modern educational technologies into the learning process are also explored. The conclusion is drawn that taking into account students’ age characteristics is essential for the successful development of their communication skills.
