Abstract:
Proverbs play a significant role in language and culture, offering wisdom, advice, and insights into societal values and beliefs. Here are some semantic peculiarities of proverbs in English and Uzbek:
In English:
- Figurative Language: English proverbs often use figurative language to convey deeper meanings. Metaphors, similes, and other literary devices are commonly found in English proverbs.
