THE IMPORTANCE OF INTEGRATION OF LISTENING AND SPEAKING SKILLS IN TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Main Article Content

Аннотация:

This study examines the effectiveness of integrating listening and speaking skills in teaching English as a foreign language in Uzbekistan. It emphasizes that these two skills are essential for real-life communication and cannot be separated from each other. The research highlights the use of information-gap tasks as an interactive method to engage students, motivate participation, and simulate authentic communication situations. The study argues that integrated teaching helps learners develop communicative competence, manage cognitive processes during speaking and listening, and apply the language effectively in everyday contexts.
