PREVALENCE OF THYROID CANCER

Abstract:
The prevalence of nodular lesions of the thyroid gland (thyroid gland), according to various researchers, ranges from 3 to 7%. The widespread introduction of ultrasound into clinical practice, as well as the results of autopsy studies, have shown that the prevalence of nodular lesions of the thyroid gland is much higher and is about 50%, especially at the age of over 50 years. In women, thyroid nodes are detected 2-4 times more often than in men.
