Abstract:

This article explores the methodology for cultivating design competence in students through effective engineering pedagogy. Design competence is a critical skill for engineers, as it encompasses creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges. By incorporating design thinking principles, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary approaches into the curriculum, educators can foster the development of design competence in students, preparing them for success in their engineering careers.
