Abstrak:

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) and information technologies has significantly transformed the field of education, particularly foreign language learning. Traditional language teaching methods, which often rely on teacher-centered instruction and standardized materials, are increasingly being supplemented or replaced by technology-enhanced approaches. AI-powered tools such as chatbots, adaptive learning platforms, speech recognition software, and data-driven learning systems provide personalized, interactive, and efficient learning experiences for students. This article explores the role of artificial intelligence and information technologies in foreign language learning, analyzing their pedagogical benefits, challenges, and impact on learners and teachers. Special attention is given to the social, historical, and cultural contexts that have influenced the integration of AI into language education. The study argues that, when used appropriately, AI can enhance learner autonomy, motivation, and communicative competence while reshaping the role of teachers in modern classrooms.
