In Uzbek linguistics, historical words (historicisms) are the names of past reality, and in the modern language there is no other lexical unit that could replace them. Historical words are not specific to the vocabulary of the period of the language being described, but are found in the temporary use of a unit specific to the vocabulary of the past period. Historical words, in addition to the nominative function, the function of embodying the era, also serve as a methodological tool. This task is one of the main reasons for preserving historicisms in vocabulary. In the novel by Abdullah Kadiri "Past Days" the period of the Kokan Khanate of the 1950-1960s is described. The author effectively uses historical words to reveal the spirit of the time.

In this article, the epic “Alpomish” is examined in detail as a dialect text. A scientific and theoretical attitude to dialectics, which ensures the artistry of the epic, is expressed. Also presented are opinions on the use of dialectisms that provide dialectal features of the epic.

Translation is a complex process that involves not only the substitution of words but also the transfer of cultural and linguistic nuances. Translating English words into Karakalpak language presents unique challenges due to differences in grammatical structures, cultural contexts, and lexical resources. This article explores the translation problems encountered in rendering some English words into Karakalpak, highlighting semantic, structural, and cultural difficulties.

This article presents a cross-cultural analysis of color idioms in English, Russian, and Karakalpak languages, exploring how each culture utilizes colors to convey specific meanings and emotions. Through examining idioms associated with primary colors such as red, and blue, the study reveals both universal themes and unique cultural perspectives. This research enhances our understanding of how color idioms encapsulate cultural values and societal norms, providing insights into the linguistic diversity and cultural richness of these languages.

In this article, the opinions of our country's and foreign scientists about the effectiveness of foreign experience of the English language teaching methodology are mentioned. A comparative study of the lexicon of Internet advertisements in English and Uzbek can be a fascinating linguistic investigation, highlighting how culture, language, and digital marketing strategies shape the vocabulary used in advertisements across the two languages.

This article is devoted to the study of English and Uzbek phraseological units, including place names. Attempts are being
made to identify the sources of origin, as well as to analyze them from a linguocultural perspective. Toponymic phraseological
units in both languages are divided into five main groups according to their sources of origin, and special attention is paid
to historically connected phraseological units. Phraseological units based on specific historical events and facts are opened
and explained here. The author suggests two major groups for the presence of real place names in phraseological units. The
toponymic properties of real toponyms in the sense of the corresponding noun and phraseological unit have also been
identified. There are also additional connotations of toponyms that affect the meaning of phraseological units.
