SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL PRINCIPLES FOR DESIGNING ASSESSMENT TASKS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION
The process of developing and implementing assessment tasks in foreign language education plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of teaching and evaluating students’ communicative competence. The main principle in selecting assessment formats is their adequacy to the types of speech activities being tested. At various stages of the learning process, the teacher conducts systematic observation of students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities, assessing their academic engagement, verbal reasoning, and learning dynamics, thereby carrying out effective pedagogical diagnostics. Current and periodic assessment types enable the teacher to obtain comprehensive information about the learner’s level of knowledge, practical language skills, attitude toward learning, and ability for independent thinking. Such an approach contributes to the implementation of a learner-centered educational model, enhancing individualized instruction and students’ responsibility for learning outcomes.

SEMANTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF TERMS USED IN THE 5TH GRADE MOTHER LANGUAGE TEXTBOOK.
It is known that terms, like simple words, are formed from words and roots existing in the general and special lexicon. The system of terms of the Uzbek language, like other related Turkic languages, includes existing structural types, namely simple, artificial, compound, abbreviation and word combinations. There are enough tasks to be done to improve Uzbek terminology. Today, the Uzbek language is undergoing a comprehensive process of improvement in the field of terminology. Terms are formed by their own characteristics. They are mainly used in a denotative (meaning) sense. However, it is known that live speech is very rich and colorful, and in it terms can also lose their meaning, among which you can find phenomena such as homonymy, synonymy, polysemy, and in terms of the structure of terms, you can see that they have their place in our language. It is advisable to create a short dictionary of terms in school textbooks, especially for the 5th grade native language textbook, and implement it in a way that is understandable to students.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF MALE AND FEMALE COMMUNICATION STYLES IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK SOCIOLINGUISTIC CONTEXTS
This study investigates how gender and culture interact to shape linguistic behavior by comparing communication styles among English and Uzbek speakers. Drawing on theories of gendered communication and sociolinguistics, the research examines how politeness strategies, emotional expression, directness, and interruption patterns vary across genders and cultural contexts. Using data collected from natural conversations, interviews, and surveys, the analysis reveals that while gendered speech tendencies – such as women’s preference for indirect language and men’s use of assertive forms – are found in both linguistic groups, their underlying motivations differ. In English, such behaviors often reflect egalitarian norms and conversational politeness, whereas in Uzbek they are rooted in hierarchical cultural values. The findings highlight the significance of understanding language as both a reflection and a constructor of social norms, with implications for cross-cultural communication and gender equity.

REFLECTIONS ON THE “SOLUTION” TO THE ISSUE OF THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS WOMEN IN THE SOVIET PERIOD
The article scientifically analyzes the fact that the Soviets in the 20th century based their approach to women's issues on fundamental revolutionary changes, that the Soviet authorities, striving to implement the colonial strategy, carried out a political and economic "liberation" movement in order to widely involve women in social production, but this process was incompatible with local culture, national and religious traditions, patriarchal values, and social stereotypes. It is known that, despite this, due to feelings of patriotism, courage, and initiative in the psyche of Uzbek women, their place in society, rights, and social activity changed significantly. During the Soviet period, organizations such as the Women's Department played an important role in increasing women's political literacy, attracting them to communist ideology, and implementing a policy of equality. However, these organizations operated mainly under party control and ideological influence. In the Soviet era, the solution to the women's issue was achieved not only by creating legal rights for them, but also by widely involving them in economic and political processes. However, women's social activism was supposed to serve the construction of a socialist society.
