This article examines post-COVID complications affecting the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) that may arise in patients after recovering from COVID-19 infection. It analyzes the main symptoms and manifestations, such as abdominal discomfort, digestive disorders, and changes in appetite. Special attention is given to the pathophysiological mechanisms contributing to the development of these disorders. The importance of an individualized approach for each patient and the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration among specialists to achieve the best health recovery outcomes are discussed.

The literature review presents data on the impact of the “post-Covid syndrome” on the gastrointestinal tract, describes the main gastrointestinal complaints during the long-Covid period and the most common gastroenterological symptoms in the post-Covid period. The results of the study of risk factors are presented development of disorders of the digestive system in patients who have undergone coronavirus infection. Recommendations for inclusion are given probiotic preparations in long-term treatment regimens coronavirus syndrome.
