This article presents a systematic review of aesthetic issues associated with dental implant placement in the aesthetic zone of the oral cavity. The aesthetic zone, spanning from canine to canine, requires special attention during implantation, as the surrounding soft tissues and implants are visible when smiling, making this area highly sensitive for patients. The review includes an analysis of aesthetic factors such as marginal bone loss, soft tissue changes, and achieving high pink aesthetic scores. It examines study results using different implant techniques, including socket shield and standard methods. Research has shown that the socket shield technique (SST) offers advantages over traditional methods in reducing aesthetic complications. The data presented emphasize the importance of careful treatment planning, soft tissue management, and consideration of patient aesthetic expectations to achieve optimal implantation results.
