The article states that the timely delivery of goods and the satisfaction of customer needs directly depend on the efficient operation of cargo terminals. In this, the technological process stages of transportation through the terminal and the criteria of effective management of the activity of the terminal transportation system were formed, and the priority of terminal transportation over direct transportation was established.
