This article provides information about prepositions in English and their alternatives in Uzbek and also Toponymy, the branch of onomastics concerned with the study of toponyms or place names, has been considered by most scholars to be a discipline of convergence (or of “synthesis”), i.e., a discipline concerned with a multiplicity and variety of knowledge and which can, therefore, be approached from many different perspectives. In practice, toponymy can be said to involve a considerable number of fields of understanding - fields that do not stand in juxtaposition to one another but which are rather very closely interrelated.

This article is devoted to the study of English and Uzbek phraseological units, including place names. Attempts are being made to identify the sources of origin, as well as to analyze them from a linguocultural perspective. Toponymic phraseological units in both languages are divided into five main groups according to their sources of origin, and special attention is paid to historically
connected phraseological units. Phraseological units based on specific historical events and facts are opened and explained here. The author suggests two major groups for the presence of real place names in phraseological units. The toponymic properties of real toponyms in the sense of the corresponding noun and phraseological unit have also been identified. There are also additional connotations of toponyms that affect the meaning of phraseological units. Examples are taken from a number of phraseological and paremiological dictionaries in English and Uzbek. Examples are analyzed by descriptive and comparative methods. Similarities and differences are identified based on the national and cultural characteristics of the two languages.

This can lead to a deeper understanding of the linguistic structures and patterns of both languages, which can inform language teaching and learning strategies. Additionally, comparing toponymical phraseological units can contribute to the development of cross-linguistic studies and the exploration of linguistic universals. Therefore, the article presents the comparative study of toponymical phraseological units in English and Karakalpak languages.

В данной статье проводится лингвостатистический анализ надписи на камне «Культегин». Проанализированы ономастические единицы и приведены количественные данные антропонимов и зоонимов. Также поясняются названия частей человеческого тела и оружия, использованные в каменной надписи.

Har bir xalq o‘zining nutqida va badiiy ijodida milliy madaniyatiga xos bo‘lgan leksik birliklarga murojaat qilishga intiladi. Ayniqsa, ijodkor badiiy asarda tarixiy shaxslar, tarixiy ahamiyatga molik joylar, tarixiy voqea-hodisalar, mifologik va to‘qima obrazlardan asarning ma’lum mazmunini ochib berish maqsadida foydalanadi. Shu nuqtayi nazardan badiiy asarlardagi onomastik birliklar turli holatlarda namoyon bo‘ladi. Ular badiiy matnda yozuvchining badiiy niyatiga mos tarzda turli assotsiatsiyalar bilan birga ishtirok etadi. Ana shunday onomastik birliklardan biri bo‘lgan pretsedent nomlar fanlararo aloqadorlikda o‘rganilmoqda.
