В настоящее время в современной лингвистике одним из приоритетных направлений анализа художественного текста является поэтическая ономастика – анализ поэтонимов, и она изучается в связи с литературоведением, стилистикой, поэзией, семиотикой, лингвистикой и другими науками ономастики. При лингвопоэтическом анализе художественного текста к анализу привлекаются единицы, которые служили определенной цели писателя. С этой точки зрения не все средства в художественном тексте выполняют поэтическую функцию.

This article is devoted to the study of English and Uzbek phraseological units, including place names. Attempts are being made to identify the sources of origin, as well as to analyze them from a linguocultural perspective. Toponymic phraseological units in both languages ​​are divided into five main groups according to their sources of origin, and special attention is paid to historically connected phraseological units. Phraseological units based on specific historical events and facts are opened and explained here. The author suggests two major groups for the presence of real place names in phraseological units. The toponymic properties of real toponyms in the sense of the corresponding noun and phraseological unit have also been identified. There are also additional connotations of toponyms that affect the meaning of phraseological units. Examples are taken from a number of phraseological and paremiological dictionaries in English and Uzbek. Examples are analyzed by descriptive and comparative methods. Similarities and differences are identified based on the national and cultural characteristics of the two languages.

The article provides a synchronic (modern) analysis of anthroponyms in onomastics, the most important branch of linguistics, based on convincing evidence of its stages of development in English people.

In particular, in a work of art, the creator uses historical figures, historically significant places, historical events, mythological and textured images in order to reveal a certain content of the work. From this point of view, onomastic units in works of art manifest themselves in different states. They participate together with various associations in a literary text in accordance with the writer's artistic intention. Precedent names, which are one of such onomastic units, are studied in an interdisciplinary connection.

This article provides information about prepositions in English and their alternatives in Uzbek and also Toponymy, the branch of onomastics concerned with the study of toponyms or place names, has been considered by most scholars to be a discipline of convergence (or of “synthesis”), i.e., a discipline concerned with a multiplicity and variety of knowledge and which can, therefore, be approached from many different perspectives. In practice, toponymy can be said to involve a considerable number of fields of understanding - fields that do not stand in juxtaposition to one another but which are rather very closely interrelated.

Therefore, the article presents the comparative study of toponymical phraseological units in English and Karakalpak languages.

In this article, the toponyms in Otkir Hashimov's work “Inscriptions on the border of the notebook” are divided into groups. Brief information about the types of toponyms was given.

It is known that there are different approaches to the issue of using the terms godonym and godonymy in scientific works devoted to toponymy. The article describes the features of the use of these terms and their place in the onomastic space, and also draws corresponding scientific conclusions.

In this article, the linguostatistical analysis of the inscription stone "Kultegin" is carried out. Onomastic units are analyzed and quantitative data of anthroponyms and zoonyms are given. Also, the names of the human body parts and weapons used in the stone inscription are explained.
