Developing robust communicative competence in future English language teachers is critical for effective language education in an increasingly global and digital world. This article examines theoretical foundations of communicative competence and analyzes modern pedagogical approaches that can enhance teacher training methodologies. A comprehensive overview of communicative competence models is provided, highlighting linguistic, sociolinguistic, pragmatic, and intercultural dimensions. The paper then proposes improvements in teacher education curricula and practices – including the integration of communicative language teaching (CLT) principles, task-based and experiential learning, reflective practice, and technology-enhanced training – to better prepare English language teaching (ELT) trainees for real-world communication challenges.

TEACHER COMPETENCE IN PROMOTING CRITICAL AND CREATIVE THINKING IN THE CLASSROOM

Critical and creative thinking are recognized as the most important competencies of the 21st century, necessary for students to solve complex problems, generate innovative ideas and make informed decisions. Consequently, modern education systems increasingly emphasize the role of teachers in developing these skills in the classroom. This study examines the key competencies that teachers must possess in order to effectively develop critical and creative thinking among students in general education institutions. Based on theoretical foundations and empirical research, the study examines pedagogical knowledge, learning strategies, classroom management, assessment literacy and reflexive practice of teachers as the main factors determining their competence. To determine key behavioral indicators of competence, a mixed methodological approach was applied, including a systematic review of literature, teacher surveys, and classroom observations.

EFFECTIVE APPLICATION OF DIGITAL LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES IN ENHANCING PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCE: CHALLENGES AND SCIENTIFIC SOLUTIONS (A CASE STUDY OF THE DHOCH3 PLATFORM)

The rapid digitalization of education has necessitated the integration of innovative technologies into teacher professional development programs worldwide. This study examines the effectiveness of digital learning platforms in enhancing pedagogical competence, with particular focus on the Dhoch3 platform developed by the German Academic Exchange Service. The study employs the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge framework as a theoretical foundation to analyze the intersection of technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge in teacher training. Findings indicate that well-structured online professional development programs, particularly those incorporating blended learning approaches and collaborative learning communities, significantly enhance teachers' digital competencies and instructional practices. The Dhoch3 platform exemplifies best practices in digital teacher education through its modular structure, contextual adaptability, and integration of German as a Foreign Language methodologies.

Furthermore, the study substantiates the necessity of enhancing digital literacy, applying interactive methods, and integrating innovative technologies into the educational process as part of the professional training of future educators. This article presents the systematization of national and foreign experience on the problem of improving creative competence in primary school teachers, the current state of the didactic system for developing logical, critical and creative thinking in them, and the pedagogical  The aim is to achieve conscious mastery of educational material by applying the acquired theoretical knowledge, practical skills, qualifications and competencies of primary school teachers in new situations, using methods based on modern educational technologies.  The article also focuses on developing the creative abilities of primary school teachers, and also reflects on modern forms of education and their importance in the world education system, and discusses the possibilities and current achievements of developing the education system based on the STEAM approach, which is considered one of the modern forms of education.  The advantages of using STEAM in the primary education system are to expand the capabilities of primary education teachers through the development of technical and natural science education, based on the establishment of connections between the priorities and networks of the program. ENHANCING ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION THROUGH MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES: PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES FOR NON-PHILOLOGY STUDENTS

This study investigates the pedagogical mechanisms necessary for improving English language teaching technologies through multimedia programs, with a particular focus on non-philological students in higher education. As contemporary learners require flexible, interactive, and professionally relevant instructional approaches, multimedia programs offer unique opportunities to increase engagement, develop communicative competence, and support autonomous learning. The study examines the theoretical foundations of multimedia-supported language instruction, identifies key pedagogical mechanisms such as integrative lesson design, differentiated digital instruction, cognitive visualization, and activity-based learning, and proposes a structural model for implementation. Findings indicate that the effective integration of multimedia tools—interactive platforms, digital simulations, audiovisual materials, mobile applications, and speech-recognition systems—significantly enhances learning motivation, professional relevance, and linguistic outcomes among students whose major is not philology. Recommendations emphasize the need for teacher digital competence, systematic resource selection, and continuous formative assessment to ensure sustainable improvement in English teaching technologies.
